“Healing is the process, often lifelong, of restoring and reawakening the capacities for safety, belonging, and dignity on the other side of trauma.”
- Prentis Hemphill
How I Approach Therapy
Emotional wounds and trauma have a way of pulling us out of our bodies. When they happen repeatedly, especially in our formative years, that disconnect can start to feel like just who we are. But I believe healing happens when we reconnect with our bodies, rewire our nervous systems, and redefine what safety and love mean, both within ourselves and in our relationships. We're wired for connection, and our deepest healing often unfolds in relationship: with ourselves and with others. That's the heart of my work: helping you find your way back to yourself, rebuild trust in your body, and feel the safety and belonging you deserve.
I use somatic and mindfulness techniques to guide you inward—to reconnect with your body, understand your internal landscape, and build tools to find calm in moments of activation. Above all, my work is grounded in self-compassion, supporting you in building a kinder relationship with yourself.
I'm especially passionate about working with people who are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, non-monogamous, on the ace spectrum, or living with C-PTSD. I'm committed to helping you navigate the challenges of your identity and experiences, heal old wounds, and build a life that reflects who you truly are.
My work draws on psychodynamic theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), somatic techniques, mindfulness, attachment theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These are all approaches that help us explore your past, understand your present, and move toward healing and integration.
I honor the courage it takes to seek therapy, and I'm here to walk alongside you. Whether you're working through trauma, identity, relationships, or all of the above, I'd be glad to support you in reclaiming your safety, belonging, and peace.
